Campus Administration
Principal

Kristen Haynes
I have been an Assistant Principal in Argyle ISD for the past 5 years and am SO excited to be the Principal at South Elementary!
I have been in Argyle ISD my entire career. I started at Hilltop Elementary in 2006 teaching third grade. In 2011, I changed positions to serve as an ESL teacher. In 2016, I became the ESL District Coordinator. In 2018, I was lucky enough to be promoted to Assistant Principal, as we needed three administrators for our growing population. Hilltop was my home for 13 years. In 2019, I transferred to Argyle Intermediate. I was there for three years. In 2022, I had the honor of helping Dr. Jordan prepare and open Argyle South Elementary.
I have two boys, ages 10 and 13. My husband also works in education as a teacher and coach in Keller ISD. We have an adorable pomsky named Angel. Our family loves to travel.
Argyle is a wonderful place to be. I have been part of this school family for 17 years and counting!
Please feel free to contact me anytime. Email is the best way to get in touch with me.
I hope to meet each South family at one of our events this year.
Assistant Principal

Chandler Putman
Hi South families!
My name is Chandler Putman, and I am thrilled to be returning as your Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year! After an incredible first year at Argyle South, I feel so grateful to be part of this amazing school community. It has been such a joy getting to know our students, families, and staff, and I cannot wait to continue building on the relationships we've made together.
Before joining Argyle South, I spent six years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade in Carroll ISD and previously taught 6th grade in Nacogdoches ISD. My experiences in the classroom continue to shape my passion for supporting students both academically and personally, and I feel incredibly fortunate to serve in a leadership role where I can help every child thrive.
My husband and I are proud parents to our daughter, Carter Rose, and we are excited to be welcoming our son, Brooks, this October! Our family also includes two playful Goldendoodles, Molly and Luka. We are big Dallas Mavericks fans, so when we're not chasing our toddler or pups around, you can usually find us cheering on the Mavs during basketball season.
I am so excited for another year of learning, growth, and making memories together. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your children's educational journey. Here's to an amazing 2026-2027 school year.
